At a lunch hosted by Tokio Restaurant Bar in Limassol, on Monday December 14th, media representatives enjoyed a unique japanese flavor “Omakase Journey” tasting.

The warm and atmospheric ambience of Tokio Restaurant Bar along with its unique architecture and chic decoration captivated the media people at first glance! The elegant and traditional Japanese style, the wall engraved representations of samurai warriors and the exotic geisha, stimulated the imagination of the guests conveying them to the beauty of a bygone era.

The ultimate tasting journey that followed captivated even the most discerning palate; the special Omakase menu prepared exclusively for the day by chef Stephanos Chrysanthou, fascinated those who had the opportunity to experience the ultimate dining gest of an authentic Japanese cuisine.

The fascinating journey of the irresistible meal initiated with unique appetizers; Salmon tartare with avocado and mango followed by the delicious New Style Sashimi; sea bass with garlic, ginger, chives and yuzu-soy sauce.

The tasty extravagance continued with the inspirational Chef rolls; Volcano roll – crispy prawns and crab meat with spicy sauce, Spider crunchy roll – soft shell crab, avocado and crab meat, Spicy salmon roll – salmon with spicy sauce and wasabi tobiko, Black dragon roll – crispy prawn accompanied by caviar, cream cheese and crispy skin salmon.

The culinary experience was completed with imaginative dishes that exceeded every imagination and taste; special Takoyaki – Japanese style octopus balls served with bonito flakes, refreshing Ebi Avocado salad with prawns, avocado, green leaves and Asian dressing, delightful Gyozas – dumplings with seafood and chicken filling, delicious tempura prawns with chili flavoured sea salt.

A pleasing revelation for the palate was the crispy duck wrapped in pancakes with lemongrass and teppanyaki style chicken with mushrooms, udon noodles and teriyaki sauce. The absolute, taste experience “mosaic” was completed by amazing signatures cocktails, aromatic wines, and the traditional sake while the climax of the gastronomic pleasure was completed with the Limoncello Cheese cake.

The exhilarating journey to this culinary enjoyment and aesthetic at Tokio Restaurant Bar left the media guests with the most astounding memories, ratifying once more the special place that Tokio Restaurant Bar holds in the gastronomic map of Cyprus.
